Why this exists
GuitarTechHub started as a documented build log — a Les Paul-style build, done in the open, with honest reviews of the UK/EU suppliers and tools used along the way. Most build guides online are US-focused or vague about real costs and real results; this is meant to be neither.
Alongside the build log, GuitarTechHub also hosts a set of precision calculators for guitar building and repair — fret slot positions, saddle compensation, string tension, and fretboard radius/relief reference. These fill a real gap: most luthiers currently share homemade spreadsheets on forums for lack of a clean, purpose-built tool. Every calculator here prints a clean, workshop-ready reference sheet, because a laptop isn't always within reach at the workbench.
A practice-focused AI backing track generator is also planned, for working on jazz and blues progressions by ear. It's a more experimental addition — existing tools already solve a lot of that problem well — so it's being built and judged honestly rather than assumed to be an improvement from day one.
